About the position

The Logistics Customer Service Representative (CSR) is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Cross Border Department within the Road Logistics sector. This role involves developing and maintaining departmental procedures, coordinating transportation resources, and monitoring carrier performance metrics to ensure efficient operations and high customer service standards.

Responsibilities

  • Scheduling of incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure efficient resource utilization.
  • Coordinate transportation resources to achieve customer service goals.
  • Monitor and evaluate carrier performance metrics.
  • Develop, document, and maintain Transportation Department procedures.
  • Recommend appropriate changes in mode and/or carrier.
  • Manage daily operations of the Transportation Department.
  • Ensure only qualified carriers are utilized through SMT/RIMS.
  • Train and cross-train within the department for FTL/LTL operations.
  • Follow up with customers to resolve inquiries.
  • Prepare and assemble all necessary documents for exports/imports.
  • Adhere to all accreditations at all times, including ISO9002, TSA, C-TPAT, QSHE.

Requirements

  • Experience in logistics or transportation management.
  • Strong communication skills to maintain customer contact throughout the process.
  • Ability to build and encourage a positive teamwork environment.
  • Demonstrated integrity and ethical behavior in all tasks and responsibilities.
  • Problem-solving skills to react quickly to issues in the warehouse.
  • Performance and result orientation to drive performance amidst competing priorities.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with ISO9002, TSA, C-TPAT, QSHE accreditations.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish for communication with US and Mexican brokerage services.
