About the position

The Logistics Data Analyst position at the Department of Defense involves planning, developing, and implementing cataloging support strategies for DLA Logistics Information Operations. The role serves as the primary interface between DLA Logistics Information Operations and various military and commercial stakeholders, ensuring the creation and maintenance of cataloging requirements and procedures to meet organizational needs. The analyst will represent DLA in cataloging meetings and briefings, contributing to the development of logistics information systems and policies.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and implement cataloging support strategies for DLA Logistics Information Operations.
• Act as the initial interface point between DLA Logistics Information Operations and Military Service Program Managers, Project Equipment Specialists, and Product Support Integrators.
• Create and maintain cataloging requirements and procedures to meet DLA and customer needs.
• Represent DLA Logistics Information Operations in cataloging meetings, briefings, and conferences regarding cataloging systems and policies.

Requirements

• One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level in federal service or equivalent in the private sector.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Federal Logistics Information System (FLIS) policies and procedures.
• Experience utilizing logistics data management tools to plan, schedule, and conduct projects for improved effectiveness and efficiency.
• Ability to identify cataloging support requirements and act as a technical expert for analyzing and developing innovative solutions.
