About the position

The Logistics/HR Manager at Kroger Supply Chain is responsible for leading the Human Resources function within the logistics sector. This role focuses on talent management, enhancing workplace safety, and fostering a productive work environment. The manager will embody the company's core values and drive initiatives that promote diversity, inclusion, and employee engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and direction for the Logistics Human Resources function.
  • Drive Talent Management to improve individual and organizational effectiveness.
  • Create a work environment that enhances associate safety, relations, and productivity.
  • Model and demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.
  • Build diverse teams to achieve business objectives through collaboration and teamwork.
  • Participate in the development of site strategies, goals, and objectives.
  • Facilitate the Performance Management Process utilizing the Kroger Leadership Model (KLM).
  • Manage the succession planning process for appropriate associates.
  • Oversee diversity and inclusion initiatives.
  • Lead the recruiting process including selection and hiring.
  • Develop and maintain effective associate relations programs to enhance engagement.
  • Act as a liaison with government agencies and third-party vendors.
  • Serve on the negotiating team and resolve grievances to promote company goals.
  • Communicate to minimize conflict and foster positive relationships between management and associates.
  • Oversee the safety process and manage Total Rewards programs according to company directives.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies, government regulations, and contractual obligations.
  • Supervise and coach direct reports, completing performance reviews and providing feedback.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3+ years of Human Resources experience.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel independently (< 25%).
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information.
  • Extensive knowledge of federal and state employment laws.
  • Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and influencing skills.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • Previous HR experience in Supply Chain.
  • Human Resources Certification (SPHR, PHR) preferred.
