About the position

The position involves overseeing the support of supply chain systems and training users to ensure efficient operation of automated production systems. The role includes analyzing data requirements, troubleshooting process issues, tracking technology project progress, and providing management updates. Responsibilities

  • Oversee the support of supply chain systems and train the user community.
  • Analyze information processing needs using structured analysis or data modeling techniques.
  • Determine necessary computer software or hardware to set up or alter systems.
  • Expand or modify systems to serve new purposes or improve workflow.
  • Review and analyze computer printouts and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems.
  • Test, install, monitor, and maintain computer systems and programs.
  • Provide recurring training for staff and users on computer systems and programs.
  • Document and escalate issues to the support center in partnership with the user community.
  • Keep current with new technology and develop programs that meet management and user requirements.
  • Serve as project leader for data projects when required.
  • Supervise and coach direct reports, completing performance reviews and providing feedback.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or comparable work experience in an information systems position.
  • 5-8 years of information systems experience.
  • 2 years working with relational databases.
  • Knowledge of computer languages such as Java, CICS, DOS, and/or C-base.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Highly motivated and service-oriented.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent analytical and solid problem-solving skills.
  • Proven management, leadership, operational, and communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of supply chain systems, such as the Warehouse Inventory Network (WIN).
  • Proficient in using and training associates on Microsoft Office software programs.
  • Knowledge of switch and router installation, management, and maintenance.
  • Ability to read and comprehend complex technical manuals.
