About the position

The Logistics Intern position at Holcim US for Summer 2025 is designed for undergraduate students majoring in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. This 10-week paid internship offers hands-on experience in logistics operations, focusing on sustainability and process improvement. Interns will work closely with experienced professionals, gaining insights into data analysis, supplier relationship management, and inventory planning, while contributing to the company's commitment to building progress for people and the planet.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret logistics data to optimize transportation routes and improve delivery times.
  • Help maintain relationships with carriers, suppliers, and logistics providers, ensuring smooth communication and timely resolution of issues.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to streamline logistics operations and reduce shipping costs.
  • Assist in inventory management and demand planning to ensure efficient stock levels and on-time deliveries.
  • Conduct cost analyses of transportation and logistics activities, identifying opportunities for cost savings.
  • Assist in the implementation and monitoring of safety protocols and procedures to ensure compliance with Holcim standards.
  • Utilize a range of skills and knowledge in day-to-day operations, working collaboratively to achieve team and company goals.
  • Present learnings and contributions to the executive leadership team at the end of the internship.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program majoring in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a similar field.
  • Strong academic performance.
  • Geographic flexibility to work at various sites.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
