About the position

The Return Auditor is responsible for managing the return process of goods within the warehouse, ensuring accuracy and maintaining detailed records. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle discrepancies efficiently, while also requiring frequent business travel to various locations.

Responsibilities

  • Audit Returns: Inspect and verify returned items against return documentation and original purchase orders.
  • Data Entry and Documentation: Enter return details into inventory management systems accurately and maintain detailed records of returns.
  • Inventory Management: Update inventory records to reflect returned items and adjust stock levels as necessary.
  • Quality Control: Identify and report patterns or trends in returns to help address potential issues with product quality or fulfillment processes.
  • Process Improvement: Provide feedback and suggestions for improving the returns process and reducing the rate of returns.
  • Customer Service: Address and resolve any issues or questions related to returns from customers or internal teams.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures, as well as compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Reporting: Generate regular reports on returns data, including trends, financial impact, and other key metrics.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in logistics, business, or related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, or auditing is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with inventory management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with customers and internal staff.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in inventory management (1 year preferred).
  • Experience in warehouse operations (1 year preferred).
