About the position

The Logistics & Inventory Support Assistant plays a crucial role in coordinating product transfers between company locations, providing daily inventory support, and resolving issues from sales and inventory control departments. This position also involves assisting with procurement tasks and collaborating with various teams to ensure efficient operations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with managing internal and external sub-rentals across various company locations to ensure smooth inventory flow.
  • Facilitate product transfers between different locations, ensuring that logistical needs are met and inventory moves seamlessly across the organization.
  • Assist with sourcing and managing suppliers to meet product and logistical needs in a timely manner.
  • Support the sales team in handling overbooking situations by reallocating inventory as necessary and providing strategic recommendations to optimize the usage of available stock.
  • Work closely with the sales team to identify potential inventory issues and resolve them in advance to minimize disruptions in operations.
  • Address and resolve inventory-related tickets submitted by the sales and inventory control departments to ensure timely responses and problem-solving.
  • Perform other responsibilities as needed to support the operations of both the logistics and inventory teams.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience in logistics, inventory management, or a related field, preferably in the events or rental industry.
  • Proficiency with inventory management systems, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), and experience with logistics software or ERP systems is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Demonstrated ability to think critically, anticipate challenges, and provide solutions to ensure smooth operations.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining accuracy in inventory and logistics management.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the events or rental industry.
