About the position

BAE Systems, a leading defense contractor, is seeking a full-time Logistics Management Information (LMI) Lead Logistics Analyst to support Combat Vehicle Programs. This position can be based in York, Pennsylvania or Sterling Heights, Michigan. The company values its workforce and offers a 9/80 work schedule, allowing employees to have every other Friday off, along with a hybrid work option that permits remote work 1-2 days per week. The role is crucial in ensuring that logistics analysis is conducted effectively, which includes maintenance and provisioning, logistics lifecycle management, and adherence to military and industry standards. As the main point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, the Lead Logistics Analyst will utilize project management skills to communicate LMI project requirements, status, and risks effectively. In this challenging position, the Lead Logistics Analyst will be responsible for the development and delivery of contractual deliverables that are essential for the warfighters. These deliverables may include meeting minutes, provisioning technical data, maintenance technical data, Repair Parts and Special Tools List (RPSTL), and Logistics Support Analysis (LSA) summaries. The analyst will attend and participate in Start of Work (SoW) meetings, host project Kick-Off meetings, and coordinate LMI Integrated Product Team (IPT) meetings with customers and program management. The role also involves assisting in the development of working schedules based on data availability, tracking product development against schedules, and ensuring that product quality meets acceptable standards. The analyst will create Estimates to Complete (ETCs) for assigned work, analyze engineering and maintainability data, and ensure that all deliverables align with military and industry standards. This position requires collaboration across various functions, including engineering and technical publications, to ensure that all inputs and outputs are coordinated effectively. The Lead Logistics Analyst will also interface directly with customers regarding project development and manage expectations related to deliverables and scope of work.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the main point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding LMI project requirements, status, and risks.
  • Develop and deliver contractual deliverables to customers, including meeting minutes, provisioning technical data, and maintenance technical data.
  • Attend and participate in Start of Work (SoW) meetings and host project Kick-Off meetings for new work phases.
  • Coordinate and lead LMI Integrated Product Team (IPT) meetings with customers and program management.
  • Assist in the development of working schedules based on data availability and deliverable deadlines.
  • Provide status updates on product development against schedule and communicate metrics to stakeholders.
  • Coordinate product development with appropriate functional teams and track progress against budget and schedule.
  • Create Estimates to Complete (ETCs) for assigned work based on tasks required and available personnel.
  • Analyze engineering and maintainability data to determine parts/support and provisioning levels.
  • Research and apply knowledge of military and industry standards to ensure product alignment with regulations.
  • Work across functions to coordinate inputs/outputs and provide information as needed.
  • Interface directly with customers on projects regarding LMI product development and manage expectations.
  • Coordinate the creation of LMI databases and establish Logistics Control Number (LCN) structure.
  • Facilitate customer LMI/LSA reviews and provide support to resolve concerns and issues.
  • Provide input to LMI process development and improvements.
  • Assist in estimating and creating Basis of Estimates (BOEs) for proposed work.

Requirements

  • Typically a high school diploma and 8+ years experience or a bachelor's degree and 4+ years experience.
  • Understanding of Logistics Management Information (LMI) development, including provisioning and maintenance task analysis.
  • Advanced computer skills in database management and content management systems.
  • Experience in reading and analyzing engineering drawings at all levels.
  • Intermediate project management skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working with Level Of Repair Analysis (LORA) and/or Maintenance Task Analysis.
  • Experience working with illustrated parts books.
  • Familiarity with software such as SLICWave Database, PowerLog J, Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Windchill, and Point.
