About the position

Oneida Warehousing, LLC is seeking a passionate individual to join our team as a Logistics Manager. This full-time position is an exciting opportunity for a well-rounded professional to perform various leadership functions supporting our logistics organization. The Logistics Manager will report directly to the President and will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring efficiency, and contributing to the growth of the company. The role requires a commitment to safety, customer service, and business development, making it essential for the candidate to possess strong leadership and communication skills. In this role, the Logistics Manager will regularly visit multiple facilities within a two-hour radius, ensuring that warehouse operations run smoothly. The candidate will be familiar with inventory systems and will be responsible for training new staff. Additionally, the Logistics Manager will assist with pricing analysis and evaluate staffing levels for efficiency. A key aspect of the position involves business development, where the manager will assist in the implementation of business development plans and support the growth plan by helping to open new locations and plan for expansions. Customer service is a critical component of this role, as the Logistics Manager will interact daily with customers, developing positive relationships while managing their expectations. Safety is also a priority, and the manager will participate in quarterly safety meetings, provide input on changes to safety procedures, and evaluate and train staff for safe operations. Furthermore, the Logistics Manager will assist the Trucking Operations Manager with all aspects of trucking operations, including training and evaluating drivers. The position also offers opportunities for career development through participation in the Leadership Development Program, which exposes the candidate to all aspects of the operation with the intention of becoming a senior leader upon meeting milestones. This is a full-time position with a work schedule from Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm or as needed, and it does not require remote work.

Responsibilities

  • Regularly visit multiple facilities within a two-hour radius.
  • Familiarize with inventory systems and train new staff.

  • Evaluate and train staff for safe operations of forklifts.
  • Assist with business development plan and implementation.
  • Support growth plan by assisting in the opening of new locations.
  • Assist with planning for new expansions.
  • Hire, train, and evaluate new staff.
  • Interact daily with customers and develop positive relationships.
  • Participate in quarterly safety meetings and provide input on safety procedures.
  • Assist Trucking Operations Manager with all aspects of trucking operations.
  • Participate in the Leadership Development Program.

Requirements

  • 4-year degree in logistics or 4 years equivalent experience.
