About the position

The Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of accounts within Ryder System, focusing on P&L management, customer satisfaction, compliance, employee relations, and safety. This role requires strong leadership and the ability to collaborate with senior management and customers to meet operational demands while ensuring a high level of service and adherence to safety regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the performance of salaried and hourly employees, resolving performance issues and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with senior management and customers to determine needs and expectations, operating the account to meet those demands.
  • Analyze weekly and monthly P&L statements to assess account profitability and provide financial data and operations reports to senior management.
  • Oversee accounts payable, vendor quotes for purchased materials, and customer invoicing.
  • Conduct Safety & Security meetings, provide safety training, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Requirements

  • H.S. diploma/GED required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain preferred.
  • Three (3) years or more relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, warehouse or industry related field required.
  • Two (2) years or more managing and leading direct reports required.
  • Excellent knowledge of Transportation and/or Warehouse Logistics operations advanced required.
  • Excellent knowledge of safety and security requirements advanced required.
