About the position

The Logistics Manager for Furniture Delivery is responsible for overseeing the operations of delivery teams within a third-party logistics (3PL) environment. This role focuses on developing a carrier network to ensure compliance with client contracts and internal quality standards while fostering a competitive and high-performing team culture. The manager will lead the carrier operations team, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining strong relationships with carriers and clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead carrier development and non-asset delivery operations for assigned client contracts.
• Manage performance of carriers to established KPIs and ensure compliance with contract specifications.
• Recruit, train, develop, and manage the carrier team to ensure success.
• Ensure on-time pick-up and delivery while maintaining positive relationships with carriers.
• Develop a recruiting pipeline to manage performance and turnover effectively.
• Provide exceptional customer service to clients and their customers.
• Implement and maintain best practices with carriers.
• Identify and anticipate operational hurdles and collaborate with the Director and support staff to address them.
• Track daily routes, make necessary calls, and submit accurate billing.
• Promote the company's culture, mission, values, policies, and procedures.

Requirements

• Field leadership and team building experience.
• Experience in operations or 3PL management or a similar position.
• Good written and verbal communication abilities.
• Strong management skills and leadership presence to motivate the carrier group.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to respond quickly to service issues.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and general computer skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with home delivery management (2 years preferred).
• Experience with Microsoft Office (1 year preferred).
