About the position

The Logistics Manager at TSC is responsible for overseeing the strategy and execution of logistics operations for both domestic and international shipments. This role ensures that logistics functions align with corporate objectives, driving operational efficiency and compliance across the organization. The position allows for a hybrid work model, requiring some onsite presence at the Crystal City, VA office for meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review export/import documentation for all international shipments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with customs requirements.
  • Oversee and manage logistics operations, ensuring compliance with trade and company insurance requirements for CONUS and OCONUS shipments.
  • Maintain screening policies and procedures, assist in developing enhanced screening workflows, and provide training to relevant organizations.
  • Monitor and conduct business risk assessments related to sanctions and export controls, reviewing updated export controls and newly designated parties under applicable sanctions.
  • Maintain record-keeping requirements according to 15 CFR Part §762 (EAR) & 22 CFR Part §122(ITAR) for controlled activities, for audit purposes.
  • Track and manage shipments associated with export licenses and related imports, ensuring compliance with international trade laws and regulations.
  • Provide leadership for long-term logistics planning, optimizing resources across the supply chain, transportation, and facilities to achieve strategic goals.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and compliance of logistics operations and export activities.
  • Regularly report on logistics performance, highlighting successes, areas for improvement, and strategic initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and 8 or more years of industry experience.
  • US Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
  • Proficient understanding of export control laws, including ITAR and dual-use items.

Nice-to-haves

  • Proven experience in international logistics operations and familiarity with international shipping regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Hands-on experience in logistics software, including AES and OCR EASE.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision and provide viable solutions.
  • Experience working closely with insurance providers, freight forwarders, and carriers for domestic and international shipments.
  • Background with leadership roles strongly preferred.
  • Strong commitment to compliance and integrity.
