About the position

The Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing all shipping and receiving operations within the Middleton Plant, ensuring that products and materials are delivered and received efficiently and safely. This role involves leading a team, managing logistics operations, and ensuring compliance with quality assurance standards and safety regulations. The Logistics Manager will also engage with plant leadership to align logistics objectives with overall plant goals and foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability among staff.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all shipping and receiving personnel to execute warehouse functions safely and economically.
  • Oversee the receipt of incoming packages and ensure compliance with QA standards and customer requirements.
  • Deliver logistics KPI targets and results against site productivity goals.
  • Plan and schedule logistics operations, including purchasing and inventory management.
  • Engage with plant leadership to align logistics priorities and resources.
  • Ensure effective communication with shared services and commercial functions to support order fulfillment.
  • Hire, train, and develop associates to meet operational objectives.
  • Foster a team-based culture with high employee accountability and ownership.
  • Instill a culture of problem solving and rapid action to resolve issues.

Requirements

  • BS degree and APICS certification strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience in warehousing, planning, procurement, or inventory control.
  • Demonstrated computer skills in Microsoft Applications and experience in SAP.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to lead in a team environment and manage competing priorities.
  • Experience with Lean manufacturing principles.

  • Familiarity with supply chain work processes and measures.
