About the position

DCS Corp has an exciting opportunity for a Logistics Manager Subject Matter Expert (SME) providing support to the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center/PEO Digital Directorate Aerospace Management Systems Division (AFLCMC/HBA). The Aerospace Management Systems Division Programs develops, delivers, and sustains air traffic management, CNS/ATM avionics expertise, and weather sensing/forecast capabilities enabling military, civil, and allied and foreign military sales customers to achieve their mission. This position will support the Aloha/Air Route Surveillance Radar Version 4 Replacement - Hawaii (ARSR4R-HI) program. This program will support the replacement of the current Hawaii Air Route Surveillance Radar Version 4 (ARSR-4) to include prototype development, test, site preparation, and installation. The replacement radar will address DoD capability gaps driven by new threats and provide dual use for Hawaii for Air Traffic Control (ATC) and weather monitoring. It is a key component of the USAF's defense of Hawaii as a high priority mission for the DoD and supports NORAD/NORTHCOM and PACAF/INDOPACOM Deterrence Initiatives. This is a full-time position located at Hanscom Air Force Base, MA, and is contingent upon contract award. In this position, you will need to possess the advanced knowledge, experience, and recognized ability to be considered an expert in your technical/professional field and have the ability to perform tasks and oversee the efforts of junior and mid-level personnel within the technical/professional discipline. You will provide support that will perform logistics management operations that involve planning, coordinating, or evaluating the logistical actions required to support a specified mission, weapons system, sustainment, or other designated program. Duties include identifying the specific requirements for money, manpower, materiel, facilities, and services needed to support the program; and correlating those requirements with program plans to assure that the needed support is provided at the right time and place. You will collaborate with material support managers and product support managers to maintain comprehensive support plans, including sister service and coalition service coordination. Additionally, you will participate in the development of maintenance and life cycle logistics plans to ensure smooth product transition to air logistics complex centers. You will develop and execute logistics and sustainment plans, identify and help mitigate sustainment problem areas, specifically on CDA, and coordinate and evaluate the efforts of functional specialists to identify specific requirements and to develop and adjust plans and schedules for the actions needed to meet each requirement on time. You will also provide logistics analytical support for key logistics metrics, assist with planning, evaluation, and implementation of program acquisition and sustainment strategies, and develop program management documentation to support all phases of the acquisition and sustainment life cycle.

Responsibilities

  • Identify the specific requirements for money, manpower, materiel, facilities, and services needed to support the program.

  • Participate in the development of maintenance and life cycle logistics plans to ensure smooth product transition to air logistics complex centers.

  • Coordinate and evaluate the efforts of functional specialists to identify specific requirements and to develop and adjust plans and schedules for the actions needed to meet each requirement on time.
  • Provide logistics analytical support for key logistics metrics, including but not limited to supply, reliability, maintainability, and provide them in key logistics reviews.
  • Assist with planning, evaluation, and implementation of program acquisition and sustainment strategies to meet DoD 5000.2 guidance.
  • Develop program management documentation to support all phases of the acquisition and sustainment life cycle.
  • Develop briefings to support acquisition decision milestones and sustainment planning efforts.

Requirements

  • A High School Diploma plus 30 years of related experience with proper certifications, 20 years of which must be in the DoD, or a Bachelor's degree plus 25 years of experience, 15 of which must be in the DoD.
  • An adjudicated DoD Secret Security clearance on the First Day of employment.
  • Subject Matter Expert in their technical/professional field.
