About the position

The Logistics Manager at Gentle Monster is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the end-to-end supply chain operations. This role involves managing logistics operations in collaboration with third-party logistics (3PL) providers, ensuring efficient movement of goods from suppliers to customers, and maintaining high service levels while optimizing costs.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies to improve the efficiency of the end-to-end supply chain, including inventory management, distribution, and logistics.
  • Oversee all aspects of warehouse and fulfillment operations, including receiving, storing, and shipping products to ensure timely and accurate order processing.
  • Monitor and improve order picking, packing, and shipping processes to optimize efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the logistics team and 3PL providers to ensure on-time delivery to customers.
  • Act as the primary point of contact with 3PL companies, ensuring smooth communication and coordination of shipping and delivery operations.
  • Monitor the performance of 3PL partners to ensure service level agreements are met and resolve issues related to delays, costs, or service quality.
  • Manage the 3PL budget, tracking expenses and ensuring alignment with financial goals while identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Finance to forecast shipping costs and evaluate 3PL invoices for accuracy.
  • Continuously assess 3PL performance and pricing structures, negotiating favorable rates and contracts to optimize efficiency and reduce operational costs.
  • Manage supply chain activities across international markets, particularly in Canada, ensuring compliance with local regulations, customs requirements, and effective management of cross-border shipments.
  • Work closely with the 3PL provider to manage inventory levels, track stock movements, and ensure accurate documentation.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with domestic and international suppliers and vendors, ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services.
  • Manage and mentor a team of supply chain professionals, providing guidance and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Proactively identify potential risks in the supply chain and implement mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions, particularly in overseas and cross-border logistics.
  • Ensure all shipments, especially international ones, comply with regulatory standards and maintain proper documentation for customs clearance and other legal requirements.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) for fulfillment and compliance, including order accuracy, shipping times, and quality metrics.
  • Provide regular updates to senior management on warehouse performance, 3PL interactions, and compliance status.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in logistics management, with a focus on working with third-party logistics providers.
  • Strong understanding of logistics and distribution processes, particularly in a 3PL environment.
  • Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to optimize logistics processes.
  • Strong leadership and strategic planning skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Familiarity with industry regulations, safety compliance, and quality control standards.
