About the position

The Logistics Manager will be responsible for developing and executing the overall logistics plan and strategy for US operations within the Oil and Gas sector. This role focuses on delivering competitive logistics services, identifying local capabilities, and implementing standardized processes and technology. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of upstream logistics, particularly in the proppant market, and will be tasked with creating value through cost savings and risk reduction.

Responsibilities

  • Lead logistics procurement strategies.
  • Identify and develop strategic partner carriers.
  • Drive the commercial strategy for logistics categories.
  • Create a logistics network to meet the company's strategic needs.
  • Develop and execute logistics contracting strategies for all scopes of logistics.
  • Maintain accountability for contract and supplier management post-contract.
  • Track, report, and forecast spend related to logistics categories.
  • Oversee complex category-specific sourcing strategies including negotiation and execution of contracts.
  • Perform market analysis to articulate trends impacting logistics strategies.
  • Develop strategies for material access and delivery to frac locations.
  • Lead continuous improvement and cost savings programs.
  • Develop Supply Chain Logistics Management policies and procedures for compliance.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in frac sand, trucking, rail, and international logistics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • 10-15 years of logistics management experience, with at least 3 years in international logistics for EPC projects.
  • Proven record in developing negotiation strategies and conducting supplier negotiations.
  • Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state, and federal statutes and guidelines.
  • Strong supply chain background with the ability to interact with internal and external customers and suppliers.
