About the position

The Logistics Manager at Belle Tire is responsible for overseeing the logistics department within the Supply Chain Operations. This role focuses on ensuring productivity and operational goals are met to deliver exceptional customer satisfaction. The manager will lead day-to-day logistics operations while also engaging in larger cross-functional projects aimed at continuous improvement. This position requires strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide tactical leadership to the Logistics department of Supply Chain Operations.
• Manage and mentor logistics employees, including drivers and administrative staff, addressing performance and attendance issues.
• Develop strategic plans with the Supply Chain Management Team to improve logistics efficiency and productivity.
• Optimize fleet performance and financial objectives, including management of tractors/trailers and equipment.
• Support incentive-based performance management through tracking and reporting metrics with the Supply Chain Senior Analyst.
• Assist the Director of Supply Chain Operations with employee career development and staffing strategy.
• Establish safety and compliance governance within the Logistics department, including safety management and DOT compliance.

Requirements

• 5 years of experience managing in a logistics, warehouse, or distribution environment.
• Experience with DOT regulations, IFTA, OSHA, and related safety regulations.
• Ability to create project plans and oversee assignments from inception to completion.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Office.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in purchasing vehicles, specifically Tractor Trailers.
• Bachelor's Degree in Logistics or a related field.
• Experience working in a retail-based company.
• Knowledge of warehouse software applications and routing/dispatch software systems.
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
