About the position

The Logistics Manager at PCSI is responsible for overseeing inventory procurement and distribution processes to ensure efficiency and compliance with customer commitments. This role involves providing leadership to contract employees, enforcing policies, and ensuring that work meets contractual standards. The position is based at the Southwest Regional Maintenance Center at Naval Base San Diego.

Responsibilities

  • Provide supervision of assigned contract employees, ensuring work is performed properly, on time, safely, and within budget.
  • Recruit, hire, and train employees to meet contract requirements.
  • Administer corporate personnel policies in accordance with contract and Employee Handbook.
  • Support Human Resources in investigations, inquiries, and implementation of actions and policy.
  • Ensure contractual compliance through surveillance, audits, and hands-on inspections of work, taking immediate action when standards are not met.
  • Process employee time sheets, new hire and termination paperwork, and other administrative tasks by established deadlines.
  • Assure consumer goods and services are distributed efficiently and profitably, applying scientific and mathematical principles.
  • Provide logistics technology for effective support of products, equipment, system manufacturing, and services.
  • Review contractual commitments and customer specifications to determine logistics or support requirements.
  • Design and analyze logistics processes and operational solutions for distribution, advising management on logistics topics and proposing solutions.
  • Develop streamlined methods of product distribution, assessing environmental impact and compliance with regulations.
  • Handle inventory, process orders, plan warehouse layouts, and design product packaging for shipping efficiency.
  • Direct the schedule of the procurement process as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or a minimum of 10 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and procurement/inventory software.
  • Familiarity with federal laws such as FAR, CFR, SCA, OSHA, ADA, EPA, and JCAHO.
