About the position

The Logistics Manager will oversee supply chain operations in a manufacturing facility, focusing on transportation management and inventory control. This role requires strategic planning and data analysis to ensure efficient movement of goods and compliance with safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize transportation planning and inventory management.
• Analyze demand planning data to forecast needs and adjust stock levels accordingly.
• Oversee the operation of transportation systems, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Manage relationships with suppliers, vendors, and carriers to ensure timely delivery of goods.
• Lead Logistics teams in a manufacturing environment, including warehouse managers and transportation staff/clerks.
• Monitor inventory levels, conducting regular stock audits to maintain accuracy.

Requirements

• Proven experience in logistics management or a related field.
• Strong mechanical knowledge related to transportation equipment and processes.
• Proficiency in transportation management systems and ERP software.
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
• Experience in demand planning and inventory management is highly desirable.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
• Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills.

• Experience with both domestic and international shipping is preferred.
