About the position

Parsons is seeking a talented Logistics Manager to lead and manage logistics operations within our Federal Solutions team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the daily operations of the logistics team, ensuring compliance with Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) standards. You will be responsible for coordinating and executing procurement activities, which include sourcing, purchasing, and inventory management. Your expertise will be crucial in developing and implementing logistics strategies aimed at optimizing efficiency and reducing costs. Additionally, you will monitor supply chain performance metrics and make data-driven decisions to enhance processes. Collaboration with other departments will be essential to ensure seamless integration of logistics functions within the organization, fostering a cohesive work environment that drives success. Responsibilities

  • Overseeing and managing the daily operations of the logistics team, ensuring compliance with DCMA standards.

  • Developing and implementing logistics strategies to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Monitoring supply chain performance metrics and making data-driven decisions to improve processes.
  • Collaborating with other departments to ensure seamless integration of logistics functions within the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics management within a defense contracting environment.
  • Strong knowledge of DCMA regulations and requirements for procurement systems.
  • Excellent leadership skills with experience managing a team of 3-4 employees.
  • Proficiency in using logistics software and tools.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in supply chain management or related field.
  • Certification such as Certified Professional Logistician (CPL) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP).
  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies for process improvement.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
  • Exceptional communication skills for effective collaboration across departments.
