About the position

As a Logistics Operations Coordinator at Maersk, you will be an integral part of our Last Mile Facility in Denver, CO, where we pride ourselves on our culture of honesty and integrity. In this role, you will handle end-to-end warehousing and distribution logistics, utilizing our strategic network of storage facilities. Your responsibilities will include scheduling drivers for deliveries and pickups, acting as a liaison between customers, drivers, and management, and ensuring that all operations run smoothly and efficiently. You will be responsible for planning predetermined routes for drivers, identifying traffic issues, and creating corrective action plans to ensure timely deliveries. Additionally, you will prepare dispatch documents for management and maintain records of all dispatch calls, driver routes, and delivery times. Your role will also involve monitoring truck repairs and maintenance schedules, logging vendor complaints, and answering inquiries from vendors and customers. This position requires strong time management skills, an understanding of local traffic laws, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. This is a clerical administrative position in a professional office setting, where you will frequently sit and occasionally stand or walk. The role may require remote work at times, and you will be expected to work weekends as needed. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 2-3 years of freight dispatching experience preferred.
  • Strong aptitude for time management.
  • Excellent understanding of local and state traffic laws and regulations.
  • Ability to make quick changes in routing.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Deep understanding of computer software and technologies.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and customer service.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in logistics or supply chain management.
  • Familiarity with dispatching software.
