Meta is seeking an experienced Logistics Operations Specialist to focus on Data Center Field and Warehouse operations. This individual will play a crucial role in supporting the Site Logistics Operations Lead by developing and implementing consistent processes while overseeing third-party logistics teams at their assigned data center. The position demands strong communication skills, collaboration, and prioritization abilities, along with a natural inclination towards process analysis and optimization. A solid understanding of logistics processes and systems, coupled with experience in data analysis and logistics operations, is essential for success in this role. The Logistics Operations Specialist will oversee logistics operations at the assigned data center site, ensuring that all operations are performed in accordance with the IBOS 4S standards, which include Safety, Security, SOX compliance, and Stakeholder engagement. This role requires proactive monitoring of site logistics operations to identify gaps and create remediation plans as necessary. The Specialist will plan and coordinate with the third-party logistics provider lead to ensure that site logistics requirements are met or exceeded, working closely to develop logistics support plans that encompass inventory accuracy, movement and distribution, server rack movements, shipping and receiving, and other necessary processes. In addition, the Specialist will be responsible for identifying operational gaps and presenting solutions to standardize operations across Meta's data center sites. This includes developing, refining, and maintaining documentation that captures and distributes the processes and policies for executing safe, effective, and efficient logistics operations within Meta data centers. Building and supporting cross-functional relationships with internal partners is vital to drive effective communication channels that support operations management. The Specialist will also help produce monthly audits of compliance to ensure adherence to all inventory controls and support financial reporting requirements at month, quarter, and year-end. The role involves driving the inventory reconciliation process to identify risks, manage obsolescence, and correct errors impacting inventory movement. The Specialist will also identify and implement process improvement and efficiency efforts at assigned data center and warehouse locations, raising visibility of IBOS field issues that require better systemic controls to central logistics for the development of improved processes. Collaboration with field leads, vendors, and contract labor to develop and execute action plans for implementing new processes is also a key responsibility. The Specialist will monitor metrics that highlight performance and trends within the data center field and warehouse operations, supporting the execution of Sarbanes-Oxley requirements, analyzing discrepancies, and assisting teams in developing root cause corrective actions and trend improvements. Finally, the Specialist will help define and manage ongoing KPIs to measure process compliance and logistics operations performance, partnering in developing shared solutions when inconsistencies are identified.
