About the position

The Logistics Clerk position is essential for processing all orders and billing accurately and promptly, ensuring that customers are kept informed about their requests. This role may evolve into a lead position, highlighting its potential for growth within the logistics and transportation sector.

Responsibilities

  • Process and input all customer inbound/outbound orders.
  • Perform routing as required.
  • Coordinate special last-minute customer requests with Production, Receiving, Shipping, and Inventory Departments to expedite orders.
  • Review the aged orders report from WMS every morning to identify orders that did not ship and investigate those issues.
  • Maintain a good relationship with customers by responding to inquiries, complaints, and requests in a courteous and timely manner.
  • Oversee all paperwork associated with orders and maintain corresponding files (Bill of Ladings, Manifests, OS&D's, etc.).
  • Develop familiarity with other CSR's accounts/customers to assist them when CSR is unavailable.

Requirements

  • Experience in logistics or transportation, specifically routing out of a 3-PL or transportation company.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple orders and requests efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills to maintain customer relationships and respond to inquiries.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous experience in a lead position or supervisory role in logistics.
  • Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
