As a Logistics Specialist I, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of our company's transportation needs through shipments, interplant transfers, and raw materials. This position will be based at our corporate campus, located 20 minutes North of Pittsburgh International Airport. You will work in a serene escape nestled amidst the tranquil beauty of Raccoon Creek, with the convenience of free parking. This is a full-time position.

Responsibilities

  • Perform confirmation and shipping set up for all accounts based on customer delivery requirements.
  • Dispatch trucks for appropriate distribution and Regional Distribution Center ('RDC') retail orders.
  • Perform shipping and Inter-Branch Transfers ('IBT') processes in a timely manner.
  • Issue weekly production schedules and monitor daily for needed adjustments that optimize inventory levels while serving customer needs.
  • Conduct master file data maintenance as directed such as pallet quantity, UPC's, Safety Stocks, etc.

Requirements

  • SAP a plus! Working knowledge of MSWord, MS Excel and Outlook email.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and telephone skills.
  • High emphasis on customer service/customer driven.
  • Present a positive image to customers.
  • Good organizational and listening skills.
  • Accountability, dependability, responsiveness, and quality are essential.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
