About the position
This position involves facilitating requisitions, inventory management, receiving, and various projects. The individual will ensure that orders are filled in a timely and accurate manner, verifying products by description, item number, and quantity. The role includes inspecting products for damage, expiration, and proper packaging, as well as performing cycle counts and physical inventories efficiently. The position also requires coordinating the availability and delivery of products, including equipment, mail, and/or linen, while providing excellent customer service. Maintaining aisle and storeroom cleanliness is essential, and the effective use of the Warehouse Management System (WMS), Wavemark Point of Use System (POU), and Enterprise Resource Planning System (ERP) is necessary to document all ordering, filling, stocking, tagging, and registering activities. This role may require on-call rotation and weekend coverage, and may involve operating a company vehicle.
Responsibilities
- Facilitates requisitions and inventory management
- Receives and manages inventory
- Ensures timely and accurate order fulfillment
- Verifies product details including description, item number, and quantity
- Inspects products for damage, expiration, and proper packaging
- Performs cycle counts and physical inventories
- Coordinates availability and delivery of products
- Provides excellent customer service
- Maintains aisle/storeroom cleanliness
- Utilizes Warehouse Management System (WMS), Wavemark Point of Use System (POU), and Enterprise Resource Planning System (ERP) for documentation
- May require on-call rotation and weekend coverage
- May require operating a company vehicle
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent years of experience is required
- Requires 0-3 years of relevant experience
- 1+ years of experience in order stocking and filling is preferred
- Ability to operate manual and motorized material handling equipment may be required
- May be required to obtain Material Handling Safety Training certification within 30 days of hire
- Requires long periods of standing and walking (up to 6+ hours per day)
- Requires heavy pushing and pulling
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs from waist to over-the-head
- Ability to carry up to 25 lbs
Nice-to-haves
