About the position

The Logistics Specialist at Advantech USA is responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring order allocation, product delivery, and production scheduling to meet customer and sales requirements. This role involves collaboration with various departments to maintain optimal inventory levels and ensure efficient order processing.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for general order processing including material allocation and production scheduling.
  • Assist in order allocation and fulfill backorders for sales and customers.
  • Inform Supply Chain Management and Purchasing Departments for inventory replenishment per allocation and backorder status.
  • Process change orders, analysis, and control.
  • Confirm shipping dates of sales orders and change notifications.
  • Verify credit card information and orders for processing.
  • Generate reports to inform sales and operations pertaining to achieving quotas and number of backorders.
  • Develop, implement, and enhance efficient and effective workflow, processes, and operations.
  • Perform and complete any other tasks and/or projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two (2) years of related experience within order processing, sales administration, or customer service.
  • Associates' (A.A./A.S.) degree required with a Bachelor's (B.A./B.S.) degree in Business Administration preferred.
  • Typing at minimum forty (40) WPM (Words Per Minute) required.
  • Knowledge and understanding of computer components.
  • Experience and skill to complete multiple projects with changing circumstances, workload, priorities, and deadlines.
  • Ability and competency for self-initiative, motivation, technical/detail orientation, and act as a cohesive team player.
  • Analytical, troubleshooting, and thinking skills.
  • Experience with SAP system is preferred.
  • Proficiency and skill in Microsoft Excel.
  • Proficiency and skill in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Time management, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Verbal and written communication with oral presentation skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with SAP system is preferred.
