About the position

Responsibilities

• Receives all incoming goods and checks for accuracy against packing slips.
• Enters all relevant information into the electronic receiving system.
• Maintains updated receiving files and follows up with the Purchasing Department regarding receiving problems as directed by the supervisor.
• Delivers and picks up mail on a regular schedule as assigned.
• Assists with the packaging of outbound freight for transfer to carriers, couriers, and brokers.
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Shipping and receiving experience in Biotech, Medical Device, Pharma, or heavily regulated industry.
• Experience in handling and dealing with Hazardous Chemicals.
• Experience with forklifts.
• Sound verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrates an understanding of relevant internal and external shipping/receiving guidelines.
• Basic computer skills to support operation of tracking applications and other related systems.

Nice-to-haves

• Forklift license and experience preferred.
• Able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs.
