About the position

The Logistics Team Manager at SAIC is responsible for overseeing the planning, preparation, and control of production schedules while coordinating material requirements to ensure a smooth flow of materials that meet production needs. This role involves managing raw material requirements, scheduling, and material movement in collaboration with various departments to ensure efficient operations.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, issue, and control production schedules.
• Coordinate material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials.
• Develop raw material and scheduling requirements based on engineering specifications and production schedules.
• Manage material movement with purchasing, warehouse, and production teams.
• Advise management on the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production issues.
• Schedule equipment and personnel, confirming material supply and demands.
• Prepare work orders or purchase requests based on production schedules and inventory requirements.
• Coordinate interdepartmental activities with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, and inventory control.
• Schedule and expedite the movement of parts through move orders and shipping requests.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 10 years of related experience in logistics or production management.
• Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
