About the position

As a Logistics Technician at Apple, you will play a crucial role in supporting the operations of Apple-owned and operated Data Centers and Co-Locations globally. This position is integral to ensuring that products, materials, and supplies are shipped, distributed, and received efficiently. You will be part of a dynamic team that values collaboration and innovation, working together to enhance the logistics processes that underpin Apple's enterprise operations. Your contributions will directly impact the efficiency and effectiveness of our logistics operations, helping to maintain a safe and organized work environment. In this role, you will be responsible for planning and prioritizing daily work assignments for the logistics team, which includes shipping and receiving, inventory management, order fulfillment, and returns processing. You will coordinate with various departments and vendors to ensure smooth operations and timely order fulfillment. As a subject matter expert, you will define and set up key supporting processes, including Inbound Operations, Outbound Operations, and Inventory Control. Your attention to detail will be essential as you track and document all shipping and receiving information, ensuring the accuracy of all related documents. You will also drive operational excellence in all warehouse operations, which includes managing warehouse management systems, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, and maintaining an organized warehouse layout. Your hands-on approach and leadership will inspire your peers to adopt best practices and improve site policies and procedures, ultimately contributing to a more efficient and productive work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Work with peers to drive standard methodologies by recommending changes to site policies and procedures.
  • Plan and prioritize daily work assignments for the team, including shipping and receiving, inventory management, order fulfillment, and returns processing to ensure optimal workflow and productivity.
  • Coordinate with other departments and vendors to ensure smooth operations and timely order fulfillment.
  • Be a subject matter expert to define and set up key supporting processes such as Inbound Operations (receipt to put-away), Outbound Operations (pick, pack, quality control audits, ship), Inventory Control (cycle counting, adjustments, movements).
  • Track and document all shipping and receiving information for the datacenter, ensuring the accuracy of all related documents.
  • Prepare and/or examine outbound parcels and freight in accordance with local, company, and legal requirements.
  • Drive operational excellence in all warehouse operations to include: warehouse management systems, inventory receipt and processing, warehouse safety protocols, warehouse layout and product placement, maintenance and organization of all warehouse areas (5S).

Requirements

  • Prior work experience in a warehouse, logistics, retail, or manufacturing environment.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
