About the position

The Logistics Technician role at Apple involves ensuring efficient shipping, distribution, and receipt of products, materials, or supplies within the Data Center logistics team. This position is crucial for maintaining operational excellence in Apple's owned and operated Data Centers and Co-Locations globally, focusing on inventory management, order fulfillment, and reverse logistics. The ideal candidate will lead by example, prioritize daily tasks, and collaborate with various departments to ensure smooth operations.

Responsibilities

  • Work with peers to drive standard methodologies by recommending changes to site policies and procedures.
  • Plan and prioritize daily work assignments for the team, including shipping and receiving, inventory management, order fulfillment, and returns processing to ensure optimal workflow and productivity.
  • Coordinate with other departments and vendors to ensure smooth operations and timely order fulfillment.
  • Be a subject matter expert to define and set up key supporting processes such as Inbound Operations, Outbound Operations, and Inventory Control.
  • Track and document all shipping and receiving information for the datacenter, ensuring the accuracy of all related documents.
  • Prepare and/or examine outbound parcels and freight in accordance with local, company, and legal requirements.
  • Drive operational excellence in all warehouse operations, including warehouse management systems, inventory receipt and processing, and warehouse safety protocols.

Requirements

  • Experience in warehousing, inventory control, shipping/receiving, supply chain, or logistics.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs waist high.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.

Nice-to-haves

  • Computer skills with basic understanding of Microsoft Suite or Apple equivalent.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to effectively prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively communicate with team members and other departments.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and demands.
  • Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle stressful situations with composure.
  • Ability to learn warehouse management systems and software.
  • Proficiency using Apple products and software (Keynote, Numbers, Pages).
