About the position

The Logistics Technician at Georgia-Pacific's Green Bay facility plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of logistics processes. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who thrives in a team-oriented environment and is prepared to work rotating 12-hour shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. The role involves operating equipment, monitoring production, troubleshooting issues, and adhering to safety regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Operate equipment to defined standards and product specification targets
  • Monitor and/or enter data into computer control systems
  • Troubleshoot equipment to optimize production
  • Perform basic asset care duties including routine preventative maintenance and cleaning of the work area
  • Work as a team to meet or exceed production, waste, quality, and safety goals
  • Operate and/or work around mobile equipment
  • Maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including wearing safety equipment
  • Perform physical tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing, and/or pulling for up to twelve hours a day in a loud, industrial environment.

Requirements

  • Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, agricultural, or military environment OR completion of post-high school education in a manufacturing/industrial-centered program

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in Palletizing/Conveying systems
  • Experience using a computer, tablet, or smart device
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing manufacturing equipment
  • Experience working in a paper manufacturing environment
  • Experience working a rotating shift
