About the position

The Logistics & Warehouse Manager at Eaton's Arden, NC facility is responsible for overseeing shipping, receiving, and internal material handling processes. This role ensures that all shipments support customer on-time performance (OTP), minimize costs, and maintain a focus on quality and safety. The manager will lead a diverse team, work cross-functionally to drive improvements, and ensure financial transactions related to receiving are accurate.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure superior customer service standards are met/maintained by the logistics and warehouse groups.
  • Supervise, train, and develop direct reports.
  • Meet budget requirements for assigned activity center, including salary of direct reports and freight costs.
  • Promote excellent communication and teamwork within the work environment.
  • Develop and strengthen relationships with freight providers.
  • Oversee operational activities related to product shipments, including maintaining ISO Work Instructions/standards.
  • Provide leadership through teaching, training, motivating, mentoring, and coaching associates.
  • Coordinate third-party services for optimal transportation and warehousing.
  • Manage and execute shipments consistent with service and cost objectives.
  • Achieve cost outs and/or cost avoidance in logistics objectives.
  • Manage facility operations of the warehouse.
  • Adhere to safety rules and procedures, including 5S requirements, and report unsafe conditions.
  • Develop a cross-functional training plan for resource flexibility.
  • Drive improvements in the Rack Management process for the plant.
  • Work with EHS as PIV Champion.
  • Complete other assignments/projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience.
  • Previous experience within supply chain, manufacturing, or plant/warehouse environment.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without corporate sponsorship.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business or related field from an accredited institution.
  • Previous experience in logistics and logistics account management.
  • Previous experience with inventory management.
  • Experience in a continuous improvement/LEAN/Kaizen environment.
  • APICS CPIM Certification (or similar).
  • Proficient in MS Office, including intermediate Excel (V-look ups, pivot tables).
