About the position

The Freelance Account Director will be a key member of the Client Services team at 1000heads, responsible for managing several major global accounts and developing both existing and new client relationships. This role involves delivering innovative and creative solutions for client campaigns, maximizing revenue, and ensuring exceptional service delivery to some of the world's biggest brands.

Responsibilities

  • Manage several major global accounts and develop client relationships.
  • Develop innovative and creative ideas and solutions for client campaigns.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, understanding their needs and expectations.
  • Maximize revenue from clients through effective account management.
  • Present to clients and attend meetings and events.
  • Monitor and understand clients' markets and competitive activity.
  • Manage client reviews with senior clients.
  • Create project briefs and work with the wider team to develop ideas.
  • Produce accurate cost estimates and ensure client approval before proceeding.
  • Ensure campaigns run to agreed budgets and manage unexpected expenditures.
  • Complete billing on time and ensure timely payment of invoices.
  • Keep up to date with timesheets and expense claims.
  • Ensure the overall quality of final deliverables on projects.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of social media and digital marketing.
  • Background in account management within a digital & social media environment.
  • Experience working with blue chip organizations and managing an international client base.
  • Ability to manage a team effectively to achieve results.
  • Strong client relationship management skills.
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and resolve issues quickly.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure with attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to travel internationally when restrictions are lifted.
  • Analytical and creative thinking skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Marketing or media-related degree or equivalent experience.
