About the position

The National Accounts Manager (NAM) is a field sales role focused on growing revenue for OTR by managing existing accounts and acquiring new customers. The NAM collaborates with a customer service account manager to retain and expand the current book of business through face-to-face interactions, understanding customer needs, and proposing tailored solutions. This position requires a consultative approach to sales, emphasizing customer engagement and strategic account management.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all assigned accounts, including retention, care, and growth of current accounts.
  • Actively prospect cross-sell opportunities within the NAM base.
  • Analyze and qualify current customers for potential expanded and new revenue opportunities.
  • Meet net new sales quota and retention quotas as detailed in the individual sales plan.
  • Uncover underlying business problems, trends, and unique requirements for OTR services through client interaction.
  • Work closely with new account sales representatives for the acquisition of new business.
  • Engage appropriate resources to provide customer solutions, including SMEs and technical support.
  • Participate in sales meetings and ensure timely completion of required reports.
  • Represent OTR at relevant trade shows or conferences as directed by management.
  • Maintain detailed account updates in the customer relationship management software.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of OTR products, including corporate payments products and expense reporting.
  • Deep understanding of competitors' products and solutions.
  • 5+ years of successful sales experience preferred.
  • Proficient in computer skills, including Confluence, MS CRM, and MS Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Solid oral and written communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to understand financial components of open loop products.
  • Enthusiastic self-starter with good interpersonal skills and a consultative mindset.
  • Ability to learn new products, take initiative, and a desire to be successful.
