About the position

The Long Term Care Facility Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a pharmacy within a long-term care facility. This role includes managerial oversight, ensuring efficient and profitable management, and providing direct supervision to staff. The manager will also be involved in training, budgeting, and maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the facility.
  • Train and develop subordinate staff.
  • Estimate personnel needs and assign work accordingly.
  • Meet completion dates and ensure consistent application of organizational policies.
  • Assist in the development of an annual store operating budget and operate within budgetary guidelines.
  • Hire, develop, and conduct performance reviews for store personnel.
  • Ensure all employees are adequately trained to perform their duties.
  • Assign duties and schedule staff to meet payroll and productivity budget guidelines.
  • Meet or exceed budgetary sales guidelines.
  • Manage and balance store inventory for maximum turns while remaining in-stock for customer needs.
  • Ensure in-store technology is utilized effectively for maximum return on investment.
  • Communicate corporate goals to all store personnel through weekly meetings.
  • Ensure outstanding customer service is exhibited by all employees.
  • Follow Loss Prevention policies and report deviations.
  • Execute corporate marketing, advertising, and promotional programs.
  • Assist in the management of Accounts Receivables, including Third Party and Kinney House Charge.
  • Ensure compliance with receiving and handling requirements for merchandise.
  • Implement and maintain Standards of Presentations (SOP) and Merchandise presentation guidelines.
  • Interface with auditors, inspectors, vendors, and outside agencies as needed.
  • Maintain the physical plant for customer and employee safety.
  • Submit required reports, cashups, timesheets, and other data to corporate on time.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines regarding the sale of alcohol and tobacco.
  • Optimize cost management in line with script counts.
  • Perform all store clerk duties as needed.
  • Ensure facilities comply with all state and federal regulations and requirements.
  • Complete all mandatory and regulatory training programs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • 3 or more years of previous experience in Merchandising, Store Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Registered with the State of Vermont as a Pharmacy Technician (for Vermont employees).
  • Must pass a drug test.
  • Initial and continuous exclusion and sanction/disciplinary monitoring required.
