About the position

Hillel Day School is seeking a Long Term Guest Teacher for Kindergarten and 6th grade science. The role involves planning instructional activities that cater to the diverse needs, interests, and abilities of students, while fostering a safe and welcoming classroom environment. The teacher will contribute to delivering an outstanding general and Jewish education, inspiring a passion for learning and responsibility within the community.

Responsibilities

• Implement curriculum while working collaboratively with colleagues.
• Maintain accurate and complete student records, including progress reports and report cards if needed.
• Report to all duties as assigned on the provided schedule.
• Foster social-emotional growth by building a classroom community.
• Manage student behavior in the classroom by developing positive personal relationships and maintaining expectations and procedures.
• Communicate to families about academic, social, and emotional growth.
