About the position

The Long-Term Spanish Faculty Substitute at Valor Christian High School is responsible for providing instruction in Spanish while embodying the school's Christian values and mission. This role involves engaging with students academically and spiritually, ensuring continuity in learning during the regular teacher's absence. The faculty member will integrate biblical truths into the curriculum and foster a supportive learning environment that promotes student growth and development.

  • Invest in the lives of students through mentorship opportunities.
  • Respond to the intellectual, social, emotional, physical, and spiritual needs of each student.
  • Communicate with parents regarding student growth and achievement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a discipline closely related to the subject to be taught.
  • Solid biblical and theological foundation and understanding.
  • High school teaching experience preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in teaching a variety of Spanish courses (college preparatory, honors, AP, etc.).
  • Experience in mentoring students in spiritual and emotional development.

Benefits

  • Stipend pay range of $6,750 - $11,250 per month.
