About the position

The Long Term Substitute Kindergarten Teacher at St. Michael's School is responsible for providing a Christ-centered education to young learners while fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment. This role requires a passionate educator who can effectively engage with students and support their development in alignment with the Catholic school philosophy.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction and support to kindergarten students in a Christ-centered environment.
• Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the educational needs of students.
• Manage classroom behavior and create a positive learning atmosphere.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding student progress and needs.
• Participate in school meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities.

Requirements

• Active, practicing Roman Catholic (preferred)
• Basic Catechetical Certification (preferred)
• Possess a cleared California multiple subject teaching credential (preferred)
• Possess a Bachelor's Degree
• Clear criminal background check (a clear Livescan for the Diocese of San Diego is a condition of employment)
• Experience teaching in an elementary school classroom
• Positive professional references and recommendations.
