About the position

The Long Term Substitute Art Teacher position at Quaboag Regional in Warren, MA, is a full-time role focused on delivering a comprehensive art education to students across various grade levels. The primary function of this position is to teach a diverse range of art classes, including Digital Photography, Ceramics, Advanced Placement (AP) Art, and 7th Grade Art. The teacher will be responsible for creating an engaging and supportive learning environment that fosters creativity and artistic expression among students. The ideal candidate will hold a Massachusetts License in Visual Arts for grades 5-12 and possess experience with both ceramics and digital photography equipment. This role requires the teacher to utilize effective instructional strategies to ensure that all students can access and benefit from the curriculum. The teacher will plan and deliver a standards-based curriculum that meets the educational needs of students while also using a variety of assessments to track and report on student progress. Collaboration with colleagues is essential, as the teacher will work as part of a team to enhance the overall educational experience. Additionally, the teacher will be responsible for completing all required paperwork and reports in a thorough and timely manner, maintaining safety in the studio space, managing art room materials, and overseeing student artwork. The salary for this position starts at $100 per day, increasing to $120 per day after 15 days of service.
