About the position

The Long-term Substitute Art Teacher position at Mt. Pleasant Elementary is designed for a fully licensed educator to fill in for an extended period during the 2024-2025 school year. This role is crucial for maintaining the continuity of art education for students while the regular teacher is unavailable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging art lessons to students in accordance with the curriculum.
• Assess and evaluate student progress in art projects and assignments.
• Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding student performance and classroom activities.
• Prepare and organize art materials and supplies for lessons.

Requirements

• Must be fully licensed to teach art in the state of Ohio.
• Experience in teaching art at the elementary level is preferred.
