About the position

The Hammondsport Central School District is seeking a Long-Term Substitute Elementary Art Teacher to instruct students at the primary and intermediate levels in the prescribed elementary art curriculum. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of New York State Art Standards and be comfortable teaching various grade levels from Pre-Kindergarten to 6th grade.

Responsibilities

• Teach the elementary art curriculum to students in grades PK-6.
• Ensure compliance with New York State Art Standards.
• Develop lesson plans and instructional materials appropriate for various grade levels.
• Assess student progress and provide feedback on their artistic development.
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to enhance the art program.

Requirements

• Valid New York State certification in Visual Arts (6013).
• Knowledge of New York State Art Standards.
• Experience teaching art at the elementary level.
