About the position
The Chelmsford Public Schools is now accepting applications for the anticipated vacancy of a Long-Term Substitute Elementary Art Teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. The position is located at Center Elementary School and the assignment dates are from January 15, 2025, to February 5, 2025. The District reserves the right to change this vacancy or not fill it based on further staffing changes, enrollment, or budget.
Responsibilities
- Teach K-4 art classes, adhering to district curriculum
- Focus on culturally responsive practices in teaching art
- Prepare artwork for and hang art at district-wide art exhibits
- Regularly assess students individually on their work
- Report on student progress each term using the district's standards-based report card
- Communicate regularly with families
- Attend building and department meetings
- Participate in department and building professional development activities
- Adhere to State and National Art Standards
Requirements
- Massachusetts DESE teacher licensure required
