About the position

The Long-Term Substitute General Education Teacher for Math Grades 5-7 is responsible for providing instructional support during a maternity leave at the Warren County Learning Center. This position requires a licensed educator to lead Math instruction for grades 5-7 and Social Studies for grade 7, focusing on both academic and social-emotional needs of students.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Math lessons for students in grades 5, 6, and 7.
• Teach Social Studies to grade 7 students.
• Implement Tier 1 supports and strategies to meet academic and social-emotional needs.
• Collaborate with a team consisting of a Behavior Interventionist and Paraprofessional.
• Manage a classroom with a maximum of 12 students, balancing academic and behavioral support.
• Contribute to a program structured with 60% academic instruction and 40% mental health support.

Requirements

• Must hold a valid General Education License for teaching Math (Grades 5-7).
• Ability to create and execute lesson plans that address diverse student needs.
• Experience or willingness to work in a collaborative and supportive educational environment.
