About the position

The Long Term Substitute High School Mathematics Teacher will provide mathematics instruction at Arlington High School from January to April 2025, following the Arlington Public School curriculum and Massachusetts standards. The role aims to create an inclusive and engaging learning environment for high school students, focusing on subjects such as Algebra 2 and Geometry.

Responsibilities

• Teach five sections of mathematics, including Algebra 2 and Geometry.
• Follow district policies and school and department expectations regarding instruction, grading, and communication with parents and families.
• Perform other related duties as required by the Director of Mathematics or Building Administrator.

Requirements

• Licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education as a Mathematics Teacher at the Secondary level.
• Degrees in Mathematics and Education preferred.
• Teaching experience desired.
• Experience working with students at the High School Level.
