About the position

The Long Term Substitute - HS Special Education position at Attica CSD involves providing specialized educational support to high school students with disabilities. The role is full-time and requires a certified Special Education Teacher to manage and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students in grades 7-12. The position is expected to start as soon as possible and will last until the end of the school year, with a competitive salary based on experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized instruction to students with disabilities.
• Implement and monitor IEPs for each student.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to support inclusive practices.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress.
• Participate in professional development and training as required.

Requirements

• Valid certification as a Special Education Teacher for grades 7-12 (Student with Disabilities - Generalist).
• Experience working with high school students with disabilities.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
