About the position
The Long Term Substitute Teacher for the Autism Cluster is responsible for maintaining the academic progress of students during a teacher's short-term leave of absence. This role requires the interim substitute teacher to assume all responsibilities of the classroom teacher, ensuring high-quality instruction is delivered consistently and professionally throughout the assignment.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate lesson plans during the teacher's absence.
- Maintain students' academic progress.
- Assume all responsibilities of the classroom teacher.
- Deliver high-quality instruction with accuracy and professionalism.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher (preferred)
- Transcript from an accredited college showing at least 60 semester hours of completed coursework.
Nice-to-haves
- Completion of the STEDI SubSkills Online Training Course (optional)
- Experience in special education.
