About the position
The Long Term Substitute Teacher for Kindergarten position is available immediately and will last until February 14, 2025. The role requires a Bachelor's Degree and prior classroom or related experience with children ages 5 and older. A Massachusetts DESE License for Early Childhood (Pk-2) is preferred. The salary for this position is $100.00 per day.
Responsibilities
- Employs a variety of teaching methods to engage different learning styles and ability levels in the classroom
- Prepares, conducts and delivers motivating and stimulating lessons that reflect knowledge of the curriculum, child development, and student abilities
- Encourages an inclusive classroom that accepts the different perspectives and backgrounds of the students
- Utilizes a variety of assessments and uses data in the classroom to monitor students' progress
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- Prior teaching experience or related experience with children ages 5+
- Excellent writing, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently in a diverse academic environment
Nice-to-haves
- MA DESE License preferred: Early Childhood Pk-2
