About the position

The Long-Term Substitute Teacher for Math at Carroll Middle School is responsible for delivering instructional content and managing classroom activities during the absence of the regular teacher. This position is temporary, covering from December 16, 2024, through May 28, 2025, and aims to ensure continuity in student learning and engagement in mathematics.

Responsibilities

• Deliver math instruction to students in accordance with the curriculum.
• Manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and parents.
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support student learning.
• Prepare lesson plans and instructional materials as needed.

Requirements

• Valid teaching certification in Mathematics or related field.
• Experience in teaching or tutoring math at the middle school level.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• Ability to engage and motivate students.
