About the position

The Long Term Substitute Teacher position at Milford School District involves planning and providing appropriate learning experiences for students under the direction of the ATC Director. Responsibilities include supervising students, monitoring outcomes, and communicating with various stakeholders, while also developing and modifying instructional plans to meet diverse student needs.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and provide appropriate learning experiences for students.
  • Create an environment conducive to the intellectual, physical, social, and emotional development of students.
  • Supervise students in various school-related settings.
  • Monitor and evaluate student outcomes.
  • Communicate and interact with students, parents, staff, and the community.
  • Develop, select, and modify instructional plans and materials to meet student needs.
  • Maintain appropriate records and follow required procedures and practices.
  • Monitor the appropriate use and care of equipment, materials, and facilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in an applicable field of education from an accredited college or university.
  • 1 year of teaching experience.
  • Knowledge of district curriculum and effective instructional practices.
  • Understanding of the teaching/learning process.
  • Ability to provide instruction that reflects multiple perspectives and multicultural education.
  • Ability to infuse technology into the curriculum.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and human relations skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience teaching a video production program.
