About the position

Middle Park High School is seeking a dedicated and passionate Long Term Substitute Teacher for the 2nd semester, from January 20 to June 6, with the potential for continuation into the 2025-2026 school year. The position involves teaching high school students in grades 9-12, specifically in Social Studies, PE, or a combination of both subjects. The ideal candidate will develop lesson plans, deliver engaging lessons, and create a supportive learning environment that meets the diverse needs of students.

Responsibilities

• Develop lesson plans aligned to state standards.
• Prepare and deliver lessons effectively.
• Create and supervise activities for students.
• Adapt instruction to meet individual learning needs.
• Evaluate student performance and maintain classroom records.
• Maintain positive interpersonal relationships with students, parents, staff, and community members.
• Participate in campus events and activities.
• Establish and communicate clear outcomes for all lessons, classwork, and projects.
• Support the program of study using various instructional techniques and technology.
• Analyze and use appropriate data to guide instruction and develop assessments.

Requirements

• Current Colorado teaching license.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
